Resumo
Enquanto a pesquisa sobre as plataformas multimídia ocidentais, como o YouTube, é prolífica e interdisciplinar, os portais asiáticos ainda seguem desconhecidos. O presente trabalho explora este campo analisando os usos juvenis e interculturais de um sistema popular de visualização no Japão e na China, conhecidos como «danmaku» ou «danmu» Esta tecnologia insere comentários dinâmicos e contextualizados sobre um fotograma com várias possibilidades tipográficas. Baseado em um corpus de 1.590 comentários sobre «O Ministério do Tempo», coletado de uma plataforma de «fandom» com milhões de seguidores, este artigo analisa os temas que despertam mais interesse entre os fãs chineses. A análise do conteúdo que incorpora técnicas de «coding and counting» das categorias com mais intervenções (n>16), é combinada com uma análise do discurso multimodal (série de TV, plataforma asiática e comentários de usuários). Os resultados mostram que os espectadores estão inseridos no gênero cinematográfico (viagem no tempo), nos personagens, no enredo, em determinados conteúdos socioculturais e na língua espanhola. Suas discussões abordam questões de interculturalidade, algumas questões que são tabus na China e a cultura «fandom» na Ásia. O estudo ilustra as potencialidades de participação, comunicação e aprendizagem nas redes sociais asiáticas, e representa uma contribuição interessante e inovadora no campo da alfabetização midiática e digital, com várias sugestões para promover a competência intercultural com o uso da cultura popular.
