Resumo

O artigo analisa e reflete sobre aspectos conjunturais da ética no uso de sistemas de Inteligência Artificial (IA) em contextos educacionais. Por um lado, aborda-se o impacto da IA no campo da Educação, na perspectiva dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (especificamente, ODS4) da Agenda 2030 da UNESCO, descrevendo as oportunidades em sua utilização por professores e alunos. Por outro lado, destacam-se as incertezas, decorrentes dos temores de alguns que pensam, por exemplo, que robôs de IA substituirão professores humanos. A metodologia utilizada baseia-se na revisão documental e se respalda em relatos e estudos de pesquisadores, bem como de instituições e organizações comprometidas com o desenvolvimento da Inteligência Artificial e sua capacidade de atuação no campo educacional, para, a partir daí, abordar questões levantadas por especialistas e organizações em todo o mundo. Os resultados obtidos buscam influenciar e aprofundar as implicações éticas que a Inteligência Artificial pode ter no campo educacional. Por fim, são propostas algumas questões-chave da ética e dos desafios da IA na educação, corroborando a necessidade de agregar propostas com novas pesquisas e ações políticas, desafios estes que poderão se materializar com a criação de um observatório ético da IA para a educação.
