Resumo

As tecnologias 2.0 estão transformando os espaços destinados à interação e à participação em cibermídias. O objetivo desta pesquisa é determinar o grau de adoção do ciberjornalismo e da web 2.0 na América Latina. Nesse intuito foram analisadas 19 mídias digitais da região, a partir dos resultados obtidos de duas jornadas de coleta de dados realizadas em 2010, integrados no projeto “As cibermídias na Colômbia e América Latina”, realizado na Universidade do Norte (Colômbia), com o apoio da Universidade dos Andes (Venezuela). O estudo parte do modelo de análise proposto por Rodríguez-Martínez, Codina & Pedraza-Jiménez (2010). Os resultados apontam que as mídias latino-americanas estão apostando na incorporação de ferramentas da web 2.0, mas que, contudo, existem notáveis diferenças de qualidade entre as mídias melhor qualificadas pelo ranking do estudo (Colômbia e México) e aquelas com pior avaliação (Chile e Bolívia). Este ranking permitiu, por exemplo, identificar claramente como as mídias digitais analisadas na América Latina ainda continuam perdendo pontos importantes no que se refere aos aspectos relacionados aos indicadores gerais, como, por exemplo, os erros de acessibilidade, os níveis de popularidade e visibilidade de seus portais; e nos indicadores específicos internos, em especial no que diz respeito aos recursos disponibilizados para o aprofundamento da informação e as ferramentas de interação.
