摘要
与更为数字化的西方国家相比，意大利对老年人在ICTs的使用，以及对ICTs和老化之间关系的研究上，看来都已经痛苦地落后了十年。考虑到这一时间延滞，我们询问影响老年人采纳ICTs的因素，和是否ICTs能在文化上和关系上就老年人的健康和社会生活提供能改进他们生活质量的资源，现在就显得很急迫了。本文描述了作为一个大的全国性研究项目中的一项的调查的发现，这一研究项目聚焦于积极老龄化，样本为年龄介于65岁～74岁的900名意大利人。研究调查了年级稍小的老年意大利因特网用户的社会人口统计特征，和有关他们使用ICTs的因素。结果显示，年级稍小的老年意大利中存在着数码分水岭，就经典动因而言，他主要因经济、社会和文化资本的不同而受到影响。就积极老龄化这一主题来看，如果说高度数字化的准老年人基本上体现出有着好的健康状况是事实的话，在目前的研究阶段，是不可能指明ICTs的采纳是否能保证社交包纳和参与的。
