本文分析了国际调查项目《现代世界媒体文化教育和媒体批评的综合分析》的结果,这些调查是论文作者们在2014年5月至7月间看展的。64位来自媒体教育和媒体文化领域的教育者,媒体批评家和研究人员参与了这个调查,他们代表了18个国家:美国、英国、加拿大、澳大利亚、新西兰、德国、爱尔兰、西班牙、葡萄牙、瑞典、芬兰、希腊、塞浦路斯、匈牙利、乌克兰、塞尔维亚、土耳其和俄罗斯。对数据的分析表明,总体上讲,国际专家社会一致认为对媒体教育和媒体批评的综合分析不仅是可能的,也是必要的,特别是就有效发展接收者(指媒体的读者、听众和观众等)的批判思考技能而言。然而,在很大程度上,只有9.4%的专家认为媒体批评家的文本在他们的国家里用到了媒体文化教育课里。大约三分之一(占投票专家34.4%)相信这在中等水平上发生,相似数量的人(32.8%)认为这是在小程度上发生的。因此,媒体教育和媒体批评有很多工作要做,在现代世界里才能使其综合分析真正有效。
