摘要

本研究的目的,在于检测在吸引用户进行公民参与活动时,运用于推特消息中的两种语言风格。公民参与活动在这里指由公民参与的改善社区活动。采取社会语言学的向度,本研究开展了一项实验式介入,让324名大学生对非政府环境组织负责人在推特上所发的消息进行评价。这些非政府组织负责人的性别(男性与女性)和语言风格是通过“强烈有力的”(如坚决、直接)和“间接无力的”(如间接、模糊)风格来进行操纵的。评价者的性别也被考虑在内,以便分析男女之间在整体印象和评价上的潜在区别。结果显示,男性和女性的非政府组织负责人都在运用有力的而不是无力的语言风格时被认为更具有可信度。根据观察,这一影响和评价者自身的性别无关。另外,关于间接影响的测试显示,在“强烈有力的风格”和“吸引用户参与非政府组织日程的可能性”这一对关系之中,可信度可以起到一个中介作用。结果讨论了这一类型的传播和在社交媒体上推动公民参与之间的的相关性。
