Резюме

Использование видеоигр среди молодежи вызывает серьезную озабоченность по поводу их возможного негативного воздействия на здоровье, социализацию и успеваемость. Что касается последнего аспекта, то есть исследования, которые указывают на то, что видеоигры негативно влияют на успеваемость, в то время как другие исследования находят положительный эффект. По этой причине в настоящей работе рассматривается связь между временем использования видеоигр и успеваемостью школьников‐подростков в Валенсийском сообществе. Для проведения этого сквозного исследования ex post facto был использован специальный вопросник, который был подтвержден экспертной оценкой (0,8 валидности и надежности). Была разработана репрезентативная стратифицированная выборка, пропорциональная численности всех обучающихся в средней школе в этом автономном сообществе, и было собрано 1502 анкеты. Подростки тратят в среднем 47,23 минуты в день на видеоигры, что меньше в течение недели, чем в выходные дни. Те, кто проводил больше времени в видеоиграх в течение недели, провалили больше предметов, а те, кто проводил больше времени в выходные дни, получили лучшие школьные оценки. Кроме того, частые, умеренные и многие эпизодические геймеры хорошо справляются с учебой, в то время как для интенсивных геймеров справедливо обратное. Многие эпизодические геймеры показывают хорошие результаты, поэтому умеренное время, проводимое в видеоиграх, похоже, не влияет на успеваемость.
