Resumo

A Polônia foi um dos países afetados pela pandemia de Covid-19 em 2020, cujo governo impôs restrições para combater a propagação do vírus. A Internet e as redes sociais se converteram em uma saída para as reações das pessoas a esses eventos, incluindo o confinamento. Uma parte dessa reação veio na forma de criação e difusão dos memes, uma expressão da cultura digital e participativa. O presente documento tem como objetivo analisar como a Covid-19 foi comunicada e narrada através dos memes na Internet, e como a pandemia e os responsáveis por combatê-la foram apresentados. Foram analisados 1.763 memes de seis plataformas de mídia por meio da análise de conteúdo com elementos de enquadramento e uma análise comparativa narrativa. Os resultados demonstraram que os memes foram um modelo de expressão sobre a situação vivida pelos poloneses. A categoria mais popular foi a de “proibições e ordens”, que fazem alusão às restrições que frequentemente foram criticadas e ridicularizadas como inúteis. O personagem principal dos memes foram os cidadãos, frequentemente retratados de uma maneira cômica como pessoas irresponsáveis quanto ao vírus e às violações das restrições; também foram apresentados como vítimas da polícia e do governo. Além disso, as pessoas responsáveis por combater a pandemia foram retratadas como incompetentes ao impor restrições e penalidades excessivamente rigorosas a quem não as obedecesse.
