Resumo

O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar os valores veiculados por «Operação Triunfo» e «Fama ¡a bailar!». Sua relevância como objeto de estudo reside em sua popularidade (especialmente ente os jovens), e seu caráter prescritivo (transmitem modelos de vida a partir da identificação do problema e da proposta de objetivos e soluções). Este artigo explora como representam o âmbito profissional e o conceito de fama «Operação Triunfo» e «Fama ¡a bailar!», dois temas pouco analisados até agora na Espanha. Para isso, propõe-se uma metodologia que combina a semiótica narrativa, análise da enunciação audiovisual e o estudo das regras do concurso. A análise revela que nestes programas se representa o sucesso profissional como gratificante em nível pessoal e socioeconômico, ainda que muito difícil de se atingir. Para alcançá-lo os participantes são transformados através da aprendizagem e da «celebrização». Por fim, há nesses programas uma forte tensão entre talento e popularidade como formas de chegar ao sucesso. O artigo conclui que «Operação Triunfo» e «Fama ¡a bailar!» são programas que prescrevem a fama como aspiração vital e refletem sobre seu processo de produção, transmitem uma visão meritocrática da sociedade atual, põem em cena a importância da imagem no ambiente de trabalho e definem um bom profissional como alguém apaixonado, maleável e capaz de sacrificar sua vida pessoal.
