Resumo

O objetivo deste trabalho é definir a situação e as necessidades atuais da alfabetização midiática na sala de aula, através de uma série de entrevistas. Os resultados demonstram que os docentes precisam de formação nesta área, que o ensino em alfabetização midiática é adequado em termos de conteúdo, porém inadequado como atividade. Os estudantes apresentam mudanças significativas em suas próprias percepções sobre as mídias após receber aulas de alfabetização midiática. Para avaliar o nível e a atitude dos estudantes, foram aplicadas uma escala de alfabetização midiática e uma escala de atitude. A informação foi obtida através de um formulário de informação privado desenvolvido pelos pesquisadores. Nas conclusões encontrou-se uma relação significativa, positiva e de baixo nível entre os graus de atitude em relação aos conteúdos de alfabetização midiática. A principal conclusão obtida é que não existe uma diferença significativa entre os estudantes que têm aulas de alfabetização midiática no segundo grau de educação primária, suas atitudes na sala de aula e seu nível de alfabetização. Da mesma forma, também não se verifica uma diferença significativa entre o nível educativo dos pais e suas atitudes. No entanto, verificam-se notáveis diferenças quando existe hábito de leitura diária da imprensa e do rádio.
