Resumo

Embora a alfabetização midiática seja reconhecida por prover as competências essenciais exigidas para se viver na nova era midiática, ainda está apenas começando a ganhar relevância no ensino obrigatório em Taiwan. Uma das razões para esta situação é um ensino centrado na avaliação, cujo resultado direto se reflete nos escassos recursos dedicados a esse tipo de aprendizagem informal. Outro motivo importante é que os docentes tendem a pensar na educação midiática como uma série de operações puramente técnicas, o que poderia implicar que a aprendizagem das mídias digitais por parte dos estudantes não tem muito sentido. Portanto, este estudo elaborou uma exposição midiática baseada no modelo de aprendizagem experiencial de Kolb para ensinar aos alunos os conceitos dos filmes em stop-motion e suas técnicas de produção. O estudo experimental envolveu 247 alunos do terceiro ano do ensino fundamental, organizados em grupos, para participar da exibição experiencial. Os resultados sugerem que os estudantes melhoraram seus conhecimentos sobre os filmes em stop-motion. Além disso, a análise dos filmes produzidos por eles mesmos mostra uma melhora em suas habilidades midiáticas para representar suas ideias e se comunicar. Por outro lado, a análise comparativa de variáveis demográficas revela que a exposição experiencial é mais efetiva para estudantes do sexo feminino. Além disso, os conhecimentos prévios dos alunos não influem na aquisição de conhecimentos. Diante desses resultados e observações, concluímos que a exibição experiencial proposta é um caminho promissor para estimular a alfabetização digital entre os alunos do ensino fundamental.
