Resumo

Atualmente, há muita controvérsia em relação às mídias sociais e digitais, o que levou, inclusive, à censura da utilização das redes sociais e telefones celulares por líderes na indústria de tecnologia. Nesse sentido, a Organização Mundial da Saúde propôs acrescentar o «distúrbio de games» (gaming disorder, em inglês) à sua lista de doenças, o que se justifica por ser um modelo de comportamento de jogo tão severo que se impõe como «preferência sobre outros interesses». Ao mesmo tempo, diferentes acadêmicos enfatizam os aspectos positivos derivados das redes sociais e dos videogames. Neste artigo, argumenta-se que é necessária uma melhor compreensão do ser humano para implementar o que aqui se define como projeto para a aprendizagem profunda. O «projeto para a aprendizagem profunda» é voltado ao reconhecimento das pessoas e ao desenvolvimento de sentidos saudáveis, individual e coletivamente, assim como a melhoria, em geral, do estado do mundo para todos os seres vivos, segundo princípios de verdade, felicidade, imaginação, individualidade, diversidade e futuro. Em particular, sugerem-se quinze características baseadas em pesquisas científicas que respondem à pergunta: o que é um ser humano? Consequentemente, propostas vinculadas à aprendizagem e à transformação e melhoria social devem ser coerentes com tais características que permitem definir como as pessoas, enquanto organismos biológicos e sociais, aprendem ou podem aprender de modo otimizado, assim como mudar para melhor.
