Abstract

In the last decade, national fiction series have managed to get an important place in the TV grid. They have displaced from prime time shows that were aired on that segment during Spain´s private television´s first years, when the war for the audiences began. Nowadays, audiences can watch shows derived from those ones, becoming real «business handed on a plate». This paper focuses on that business, especially on the period between September 2004 and June 2005..
