Abstract
Este estudio reevalúa el alcance explicativo de la Teoría del Cálculo de la Privacidad (PCT) en entornos de redes sociales platformizadas caracterizados por la dataficación, la gobernanza algorítmica y regímenes de visibilidad impulsados por la participación. Aunque investigaciones previas han evidenciado inconsistencias entre la preocupación por la privacidad y los comportamientos de divulgación, existe una limitada evidencia empírica sobre cómo la conciencia, la orientación hacia la divulgación y las respuestas conductuales interactúan en estos contextos. A partir de datos de encuesta de 386 usuarios de Instagram y TikTok en un contexto de alta penetración de redes sociales, el estudio examina cómo la conciencia experiencial de las prácticas de uso de datos de las plataformas, la orientación hacia la divulgación, las conductas de protección de la privacidad y la participación de alta conectividad se articulan en la interacción digitalmente mediada. Los resultados revelan una configuración diferenciada de la negociación de la privacidad: la conciencia experiencial predice acciones protectoras localizadas, pero no limita la disposición a divulgar ni las prácticas de conectividad expansiva. La orientación hacia la divulgación emerge como el predictor más fuerte de la participación orientada a la visibilidad. Conceptualizado como agencia selectiva, este patrón refina la PCT al demostrar que las respuestas conductuales están mediadas por lógicas infraestructurales de participación. El estudio contribuye al especificar las condiciones límite del cálculo de la privacidad en entornos contemporáneos de comunicación dataficada.
