Abstract

El aumento de entornos universitarios mediados por pantallas ha hecho visible un problema creciente, como la fatiga digital, entendida como un desgaste cognitivo, visual, social y motivacional derivado del uso intensivo de tecnologías. No obstante, en la región latinoamericana y caribeña y, específicamente en Perú se carece de instrumentos y estrategias contextualizados culturalmente para medir este fenómeno emergente y hacer una detección temprana para tomar decisiones de ámbito pedagógico. Para cubrir este vacío estructural recurrente, el objetivo del estudio fue desarrollar y validar una escala breve y robusta de fatiga digital dirigida a estudiantes de educación superior. El método empleado fue el análisis cuantitativo factorial exploratorio y confirmatorio a 502 estudiantes universitarios, a la vez se realizaron pruebas de invarianza y fiabilidad donde se obtuvo una escala breve de 20 ítems de cinco dimensiones concomitantes y correlacionables, como fatiga visual, fatiga social, desvinculación digital, fatiga cognitiva y fatiga somática. El resultado mostró un modelo con ajuste excelente de CFI = 0,962 y RMSEA = 0,066 e invarianza típica por sexo y ciclo académico. La principal implicación práctica es que docentes e investigadores disponen ahora de una herramienta corta y psicométricamente robusta para identificar perfiles específicos de agotamiento digital, diseñar apoyos diferenciados y promover políticas de bienestar digital en estudiantes de educación superior.
