Resumo
A «Sociedade em Rede» identifica-se com mudanças aceleradas que se sucedem entre o mundo real e o virtual. O progresso de dispositivos digitais gerou um novo modelo de lazer que condiciona as interações familiares. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi avaliar a relação entre o funcionamento familiar percebido por estudantes espanhóis do último ciclo do ensino secundário e sua prática de lazer digital. A amostra abrange 1.764 estudantes. O lazer digital foi medido a partir de uma pergunta aberta na qual deviam marcar as três atividades de lazer mais importantes, e o funcionamento familiar foi avaliado por meio da versão espanhola do FACES IV (Escala de coesão e adaptação familiar). Realizou-se uma análise descritiva das atividades de lazer digital dos jovens, determinou-se o coeficiente do funcionamento familiar de cada sujeito e, mediante análise de variância (ANOVA), avaliou-se a relação entre o funcionamento familiar percebido pelos estudantes e as atividades de lazer digital praticadas por eles. Os jovens dão importância às atividades digitais de lazer, destacando a participação em redes sociais, jogar videogames e navegar pela Internet. A coesão, a flexibilidade e o funcionamento familiar são mais saudáveis quando os filhos não indicam atividades digitais entre suas práticas preferidas de lazer. Os resultados sugerem novas pesquisas que comprovem se esta associação negativa entre funcionamento familiar e lazer digital é causal ou se é devida a outros fatores.
