本研究描述了艺术行动主义的概念，历史先例，语言和基础经验，描述了两个主要大学（西班牙马德里的Complutense大学和英国诺丁汉的Trent大学）研究活动以及其他文化机构（法国的Élan跨文化学院和匈牙利的Artmiszio学院），它们探索了艺术行动主义作为一种新的使用创新和艺术创造的方法实现社会参与的教育性潜能。论文对作为一种新语言的艺术行动主义进行了精确定义，它存在于博物馆和学院之外，朝都市和社交空间发展。艺术行动主义是艺术和行动主义的混合体，所以具有一种语义性机制使用艺术手段来实现改变与社会转型。分析还收集了一些艺术行动家现象的核心经验，使用了语义分析法，归档了艺术行动家的经验，使用城市街道和情境性研究，通过工坊的经验，分析艺术行动家们的教育和形式潜能，分析他们突破教室墙的限制的能力，分析他们去除艺术创造者与报道者、学生、教授的传统角色的能力。最后，文章反映了对作为一种新的社会语言和教育工具的艺术行动主义的有用性，打破了社会交流的传统性角色。
