Abstract
In the very beginnings of the cinema lightning was used as a simple means of help to carry out the stories set up by script writers. As time passed, it became a relevant element of expression, and at times, it becomes so important that it can modify receptive as well as emotional attitudes in the receptor/spectator, lightning is an element in itself able to encourage emotions. As a symbol, lightning represents knowledge.
