Resumo
O presente trabalho faz parte de um projeto P+D integrado por treze universidades espanholas que estuda as necessidades e carências em matéria de educação midiática no âmbito do ensino superior, tanto nas áreas de Comunicação (Comunicação Audiovisual, Jornalismo e Publicidade) como de Educação (Magistério, Pedagogia, Psicopedagogia e Educação Social). Esta pesquisa centra seu objetivo de estudo na análise dos manuais universitários mais utilizados em Educação e Comunicação, em disciplinas diretamente relacionadas com a educação midiática. Este relatório foi desenvolvido com base em seis dimensões de competência midiática: linguagem, tecnologia, processos de interação, processos de produção e difusão, ideologia e valores e estética. De cada um destes parâmetros levou-se em consideração a área de análise e da expressão, partindo das pautas assinaladas por Ferrés e Piscitelli em sua conhecida proposta articulada de indicadores para definir a nova competência midiática, estruturada em torno a dois ambientes de trabalho: o da produção de mensagens próprias e o da interação com alheias. Os resultados foram obtidos mediante a aplicação de uma metodologia quantitativa, através de uma análise de conteúdo por campos semânticos. As principais conclusões extraídas apontam até uma maior presença da dimensão Ideologia e Valores, e uma quase inexistente representação da dimensão Estética.
