Resumo

O cenário atual de crise e mudanças tem levado as pessoas a pensarem no empreendedorismo como uma nova via para o desenvolvimento de novos modelos de negócio nos meios de comunicação, que pode ser fomentado pela formação universitária. O objetivo desse estudo é avaliar os efeitos de tal formação, para o qual foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa qualitativa baseada em entrevistas em profundidade entre empresários espanhóis das áreas de jornalismo e comunicação que receberam formação universitária em criação e gestão de empresas. Os resultados mostram o efeito positivo dessa formação sobre o empreendedorismo em geral e também sobre aspectos concretos dos projetos empresariais: organização, plano/modelo de negócio, marketing, inovação, aspectos sociais e qualidade de vida. Também foram observados diferentes padrões entre os efeitos obtidos para as novas iniciativas e para os projetos avançados. Nesse sentido, a formação tem apoiado a criação de novos negócios. Por fim, as sugestões para melhorar a formação e as limitações ao empreendedorismo revelaram a importância de dar a esse tipo de educação maior caráter prático, atualizado e interconectado com o mundo empresarial e universitário. Por isso, os exemplos deste trabalho podem ser de vital importância para abrir novas oportunidades ao desenvolvimento do setor que permitam às futuras gerações de jornalistas cumprir sua importante função social.
