Resumo
O aumento da evasão no ensino superior é um fenômeno que desperta um grande interesse pela necessidade de amenizar seus efeitos econômicos, pessoais e sociais, e pela sua prevalência, estimada em cerca de 30% na Espanha, de acordo com relatórios recentes. Algo semelhante acontece com os comportamentos violentos nas salas de aula em universidades, cujo aumento foi constatado nos últimos anos. Levando isso em conta e considerando que, como evidenciado pela pesquisa científica, são as variáveis pessoais que parecem exercer um peso maior na abandono do ensino superior, Tendo isso em mente, tal como demonstrado pela pesquisa científica são as variáveis pessoais que parecem exercer um peso maior para tal evasão, o objetivo deste trabalho é investigar se os estudantes universitários vítimas de bullying, tradicional e virtual, podem apresentar maior tendência a abandonar a graduação. Para isso, aplicou-se um questionário a 1.653 estudantes do primeiro ano de vários cursos de uma universidade do norte da Espanha. Os resultados da análise bayesiana realizada mostra que os estudantes que são vítimas de bullying, em comparação com aqueles que não o são, consideram abandonar os estudos em maior medida, tendo ainda variáveis relacionadas com a integração social (apoio de amigos e professores) um efeito moderador. Estes achados apontam a urgente necessidade de incluir estratégias de intervenção sobre o bullying nos planos de prevenção da evasão universitária.
