近几十年来,越来越多的学者关注移民、媒体报道、框架类型和民粹主义兴起之间的相互作用。本文系统地回顾了一组与巴西和英国 (UK) 的移民和难民的媒体报道相关的同行评议文章。 其目的在于确定对此类人群的表述中使用的语气以及所采用的研究方法。这是第一篇比较媒体和移民研究的系统文献综述,其中包括分别来自南半球和北半球的国家的样本。 这项研究使用了系统评价和元分析的首选报告项目 (PRISMA) 来收集、映射和系统化过去 20 年发表的 47 篇同行评议文章。我们在对两国的媒体分析研究中发现了三种类型的语气,使用频率从高到低排列为:消极、中性和积极。此外,我们还发现了大众媒体对主要参与者的代表性不足,并使用刻板印象和言论在我们和其他人之间划清界限。本研究有助于我们了解在英国和巴西进行的该类研究之间的差异,并呼吁进行更多对来自南北半球不同国家的比较研究。它还表明两国存在类似的代表性模式。
