Пандемия COVID-19 наводнила общественную сферу недостоверной информацией, породив то, что некоторые эксперты называют инфодемией. Среди механизмов, используемых для смягчения последствий инфодемии, важную роль играет медиаграмотность. Целью данного исследования было проанализировать критическое отношение к СМИ (ACM) молодых людей и взрослых в связи с воспринимаемой инфодеятельностью (PAI), ее влияние на социально-эмоциональное благополучие (BSE), эмоциональные реакции (REI) и доверие к СМИ (CMC). Мы провели кросс-секционное исследование с участием 404 человек (M=32,8) в двух виртуальных сообществах в Мексике в течение первого семестра 2021 года. Описательный анализ показал высокий уровень ACM среди участников, более высокий уровень PAI у взрослых и более высокий уровень BSE и REI у молодежи. Наблюдения по возрастным группам выявили связь между МКА и переменными BSE и CMC, в то время как связь между ACM и PAI была нулевой. Пандемия COVID-19 активизировала потребление ненадежных СМИ и информации. Критическая медиаграмотность может защитить людей от рисков инфодемиков, повышая их информационную компетентность и навыки. Результаты данного исследования подтверждают рекомендацию по продвижению инициатив в области медиаграмотности, которые способствуют формированию критического отношения как механизма преодоления кризисов в сфере здравоохранения.
