Abstract
This paper tries to value the importance of science popularization through some of its forerunners, both Spanish and from other countries. There has been a Spanish scientific journalism since the first decades of the XXth century. Nowadays, the society needs who come from the scientific journalism or teaching fields, but there are great difficulties and there is a lack of people trained to take up this challenge of the XXIth century. One of the problems is the formation of these professionals
