Resumo

Neste trabalho, analisa-se um conjunto de séries de televisão que mostram uma representação estereotipada de gênero. Em que pese sua aparente modernidade, múltiplos produtos culturais-televisivos continuam sendo portadores de discursos que reproduzem a desigualdade na representação do feminino e do masculino, através de estereótipos de gênero que atuam como modelos de desigualdade para a construção de identidade de seus jovens espectadores. Diante delas, uma alfabetização audiovisual, com uma abordagem coeducativo, poderia ser um bom instrumento contra a desigualdade.
