摘要

本文描述的是一個正在一所理工學院開展的研究。本研究旨在探索在網上及虛擬環境中向學徒生傳授知識的挑戰和機遇。由於現時的金融危機,學徒工重返校園去提高他們的專業技術。但是這些潛在的學生並不願意因為上學而把他們的工作和生活拋之腦後。在此背景下,網上學習為他們提供了既可以學到知識,又不會脫離工作環境的機會。但如何能成功地為這些學生提供線上學習材料,全球的理工學院都面臨著兩個巨大的挑戰:如何把原本手把手教授的技術變成線上教材,以及如何為學生提供豐富的參與環境。不過,在設計線上課程的時候,不僅僅要考慮學生的期待。教師們也扮演了一個重要的角色,因為網路2.0科技賦予了教師們全新的角色——一個推動著。為了研究學徒學生的線上學習情況,我們邀請了57位參與了線上課程的學徒學生加入我們的調查。本文旨在描述我們的研究發現,並將我們觀察到的情況與現有的關於新一代學習者的科技應用及學習行為(學習喜好,學習方式,IT的應用)的文獻進行對比。我們大力推薦創新型的、紮根工作環境的學習機會。
