Анализ разжигания ненависти как функция идеологии: эмоциональные и когнитивные эффекты

Резюме

Разжигание ненависти является серьезной проблемой, особенно в политической среде, где оно порождает поляризацию и социальные конфликты. Не существует экспериментальных лабораторных исследований, в которых анализировались бы механизмы действия риторики ненависти с использованием биометрических записей для оценки неявных негативных эмоций, вызываемых этими дискурсами, несмотря на существенную важность эмоций в этой проблеме. В данной работе исследуется взаимодействие между идеологией источника и аудитории (прогрессивная против консервативной) и типом сообщения (ненависть против не-ненависти) на когницию (восприятие правдивости сообщения и источника) и негативную эмоцию (биометрическую и самоотчетную). Биометрические эмоции оценивались путем регистрации изменчивости сердечного ритма и электродермальной реакции. Полученные результаты подчеркивают важность оценки неявных биометрических реакций, которые выявляют данные, недоступные для других методик: консерваторы показывают больше эмоций в своих биометрических записях, чем в самоотчетах. С помощью этих показателей в обеих аудиториях также обнаруживается эффект десенсибилизации в отношении к ненависти. При использовании самоотчетов больше негативных эмоций обнаруживается у прогрессивной аудитории только тогда, когда источник противоречит их идеологии; с другой стороны, консерваторы проявляют меньше негативных эмоций во всех случаях. Эти результаты интерпретируются как следствие нормативного давления и эндогрупповых когнитивных предубеждений.
