Резюме

В последние десятилетия повышенное внимание исследователей уделяется взаимодействию между иммиграцией, освещением в СМИ, формами представления новостей через СМИ и ростом популизма. В данной работе проводится систематический обзор группы рецензированных статей о репрезентациях иммигрантов и беженцев в СМИ в Бразилии и Великобритании с целью выявления тональности этих репрезентаций и использованных методов исследования. Это первый систематический обзор литературы, сравнивающий исследования, посвященные СМИ и иммиграции, включающий выборку стран глобального Юга и Севера. В данной работе используется руководство PRISMA для сбора, картографирования и систематизации 47 рецензированных статей, опубликованных за последние два десятилетия. Мы находим три типа тональностей в СМИ, проанализированных в исследованиях обеих стран, расположенных здесь в порядке от наиболее к наименее частому: негативный, нейтральный и позитивный. СМИ недопредставляют основных действующих лиц и используют стереотипы и дискурсы, которые проводят границу между нами и другими. Эта работа вносит вклад в наше понимание различий между исследованиями, проведенными в Великобритании и Бразилии, и призывает к проведению большего количества сравнительных исследований, включающих страны глобального Юга и Севера. Он также демонстрирует схожие модели представленности в обеих странах.
