Resumo

O presente artigo relata os resultados de um projeto de pesquisa nacional que investiga o uso da tradução audiovisual didática (DAT) no ensino de línguas estrangeiras. Embora pesquisas anteriores neste campo concluam que há resultados positivos na aprendizagem dos alunos, a maioria dos estudos se baseia em pequenas amostras e analisa apenas uma habilidade linguística. O projeto TRADILEX visa examinar o efeito de vários modos de tradução audiovisual (AVT) - ou seja, legendagem, dublagem, legendagem para surdos e deficientes auditivos, audiodescrição e locução - nas habilidades orais e escritas de estudantes universitários que aprendem inglês como um lingua estrangeira. Este artigo avalia a eficácia de uma proposta didática que inclui 30 planos de aula por meio de uma intervenção realizada com 566 participantes de oito universidades da Espanha. O estudo tem um desenho quantitativo, e testes estatísticos (estatística descritiva e Teste de Wilcoxon) foram realizados para estimar o efeito do DAT na recepção oral e escrita, bem como na produção oral e escrita dos alunos. Os resultados sublinham que existem diferenças estatisticamente significativas que confirmam que os alunos melhoraram nas quatro competências comunicativas na língua estrangeira. Além disso, há uma evolução positiva no desempenho dos alunos durante o estudo, e os participantes relataram uma percepção favorável da intervenção didática.
